Award-winning healthcare communications agency, Packer Forbes, has today been acquired by Four Communications Group (Four). SI Partners advised the shareholders of Packer Forbes on the deal.
SI Partners has been a long-term advisor to Packer Forbes, advising on strategic options, growth and commercial performance prior to advising on the sale to Four. SI Partners identified Four as a suitable acquirer and negotiated the terms of the deal.
This deal is Four’s fourth acquisition since it secured £10m investment from BGF (Business Growth Fund) in 2015. Packer Forbes will rebrand as Four Health Communications, and sit within the Four Health service, which also includes Four MSA, the specialist healthcare media planning and buying agency. Alexa Forbes, founder and chief executive of Packer Forbes, will remain as chief executive of Four Health Communications and will work closely with Four MSA to evolve and grow the future Four Health service.
"Working alongside SI Partners during this process was a delight. They managed everything from research and formal introductions with potential partners to support with the fine detail of offer negotiations. These processes are always time-consuming and distracting, but SI Partners were always there when I had a question, whatever the time of day, which was incredibly reassuring".
Alexa Forbes | chief executive, Packer Forbes
"Having worked with Alexa and the team at Packer Forbes for a number of years, we are delighted to have advised on the sale to Four Communications. One of the most important aspects of any deal is cultural fit, and with Four we feel Packer Forbes has found a great home. This deal presents an exciting opportunity for both parties to leverage their respective expertise to build a formidable new offering in the healthcare communications arena".
